The 54th Annual Blasdell Youth Conference was held this past weekend at Blasdell Gospel Chapel, in Blasdell NY. Scott DeGroff was the speaker and took up the subject "That I may know HIM" Philippians 3:10 that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death. It was a time of great fellowship and fun but also a time to get serious about our walk with the Lord.
As usual we saw many camp faces there and used the opportunity to talk a little about some of the upcoming events. In two weeks we have the Ladies Retreat down at camp and are hoping to see many more young ladies this year. The speaker is Mary Parsons from CMML, but formerly spent over twenty years in the Philippines with her husband, Phil. More news to follow on the Ladies Retreat!
Many of the kids at the conference added their names to our email list so that we can keep them up to date on some of the exciting things happening at camp in the next few months. Our next big Teen event will be the Teen Winter Retreats the last two weeks of January. We are again praying for a great retreat! Let others know!
We are grateful for the spiritual interest and growth in the lives of these young people. I know that they value our prayers for the many important decisions and challenges they are facing. These conferences are a great way of keeping in touch, of keeping each other accountable and of strengthening the body of Christ, especially among our young people.
We want to thank everyone of the organizers who worked so hard to make this a fun, enjoyable and spiritually productive weekend. There is a huge amount of work that goes into planning and running these events. The results will be felt in eternity! Thanks again for the opportunity to be a part of your time. See you next year!
